How can he tell?!

Whether I am sitting or standing???

DS is having a seriously fussy day.  We spent the last few days traveling and I think his "schedule" is thrown off. I have spent a better part of the day holding him standing up.  The MOMENT I sit down, despite continuing whatever rocking motion is working at the moment, he freaks out.  I stand - intant calm.  Sit again - instant freak out.  Even if I stand completely still, he is quiet.

Luckily we have a bar height counter where I can bump and fold laundry while he hangs out in my wrap.

Oh these mystical perceptive babies...

    I don't know how they do it, but my son can tell too. It drives me crazy! Sometime mom is tired and wants to sit.

    DD has always been this way. Makes me insane. I'm exhausted kid! I want to sit down... that 3 ft of elevation CANNOT be that big of a deal!

    Yep, I'm right there with ya. My son has been able to tell lately too. Same exact thing as you. Even if I keep moving while I sit down he instantly begins to fuss. He sometimes will do it while he's eating too. Now that's annoying!

    It's a good thing these babies are so darn cute!

    Ditto!!! although he seems to do better when I sit indian style on the couch and set him the little hole between my legs..... ya.... that sounded kinda sick actually! You know what I mean!! LOL

    H and I tell them all the time that they're lucky they're so cute :)

    My DS does the same thing.  And sometimes when I'm feeding him I'll try and sit back on the couch.  He loses it, so I have to sit on the edge and be all hunched over. 

     

    Maybe they like us when we're more stiff vs. being relaxed.  Lil rascals!

    Yes! I also notice when I get up from our glider he tenses up. Anyone else notice this? No matter how smoothly I get up!
