Got my second "incident report" from daycare yesterday. I walked in and the director at the front desk said "Little Miss Alexis was being rough today!" and gave me the form to sign, which just said that she and a friend were playing and fell and she bumped her face and had there was blood and she had to have ice.
Yeah...that's not what happened. Apparently she was climbing on top of her little friend, pinning him to the ground and trying to wrestle with him, and she ended up sending both of them tumbling. When I walked in her room her teacher said "you guys play pretty rough with her at home, don't you?" Umm yeah...her dad thinks she's his wrestling buddy! Apparently the teacher was kind of lightly pushing her to show her what she was doing to the other boy, to show her she wouldn't like it either...and she fell over in a fit of giggles! DH was proud when I told him. Sigh. I'm going to have to keep working with her on "gentle"!
Re: My lil' roughhouser...
That made me giggle.
