LOTS of cervix pressure

Last night I had KILLER cervix pressure for several hours. It was periodic, though I don't think regular (I wasn't trying to time it or anything). It felt, well, like lots and lots of pressure on my cervix! I've had baby girl push into my cervix before, but nothing with this type of longevity and frequency. Anyone else experienced this? What the heck is it??
