My DH and I are traveling to China in a few weeks. I called my OB a month ago to see if I should take the vaccinations or not. The nurse said absolutely not. Then on Monday, I had an appointment and my husband asked her to make sure. She recommended that I take Hep A and Typhoid. However, she doesn't have the vaccines and told me to go to my family doctor. After a call in, they referred my to the county health department to get the vaccines because Typhoid is a specialty vaccine. When I made it to the health department they won't give me the vaccines because I am pregnant! I even had a doctors note and they would not do it. So hopefully I won't get typhoid!
Anyone else have to take vaccinations for travel?
