Just tonight! My sister was visiting and she wanted to change his diaper. DH and I were in the living room and we hear LO give a big old belly laugh. I was so jealous! He hasn't done it again.

For me he does the squeal laugh.

  • Charlie is just about 4 months old and he still only squeals! I am doing all kinds of crazy voices, tricks, puppet plays and such-- no laugh. I look like a total idiot trying to get this child to laugh, good thing it's just him and I at home during the day!

Sophie hasn't really laughed yet, but she's close. She'll give this big gummy smile and make a big "huuuuuuuuh" sound while kicking her legs.
  • He just did it!!!  And stinking DH wouldn't get his butt upstairs, so it took me almost 10 minutes to get him to let out another little laugh for him.  It's the cutest thing I have ever heard!!!

  • Just recently I got a giggle a few times.  The best way I can get her to giggle is to kiss/chomp on her belly... I am guessing it tickles her.

  • He has once, and I missed it! It was on Sunday and I was literally away from him for, like, 15 minutes that day because I had gone to pick us up a pizza. SO said he had him in the basement, putting laundry in the dryer, and Max saw his shadow on the wall and cracked up.

  • both my DH and MIL were talking about how LO laughs and giggles for them. i was super bummed out, she only squeals for me. i've decided that since i'm way more hilarious then them, that's what they're talking about. ;)
  • Nope..not yet:(

  • I didn't get the first out loud laugh, I was so sad!  But what makes Ian do it is Patty Cake or taking his hands and clap them together while you sing "If you're happy and you know it".  Try something "new" that's silly, he might love it and you'll get your laugh!

Colton thinks I'm hilarious. It makes me feel better about my bad dancing and corny jokes.

  • He giggles like mad for my mom and sometimes for my sister. He usually doesn't giggle as much for me! But these past few days he has been. Last night he laughed his butt off and all I did was hold him under the arms while he bared weight on his legs.

  • DD#2 won't laugh yet. DD#1 laughed at two months old. Like everyone else, I look like a flipping idiot trying to get DD#2 to laugh. :-)

  • I voted for "all the time" but he has only laughed 5 times. It is like every other day. I try ALLLLL the time and he's so close but doesn't. Then today I zip up he pj's and he laughs. Really? LOL.

My DD has done it a couple times now, but she has to be in just the right mood.  Once you get her going she will just keep giggling as long as you keep doing the same thing.  But once you stop she won't start again. I can't wait until it become more regular!
