I need ideas (great with pics!) for how to organize bath stuff, medical/hygiene stuff, bottles/pumping/nursing stuff. I have a baby bath tub already. I live in an apartment with a tiny kitchen, so ways to stay organized and to utilize space is what I am looking for. What are you doing with things like burp cloths and bibs? What organizers work best or would you recommend?
Think baby towels, wash clothes, soaps and lotions, nail clippers, aspirators, pacifiers, burp cloths, swaddling/receiving blankets, bibs, all those little things that seem to never have a good home.
Should I set up multiple "stations" of certain things? Buy baskets or totes or something like that?
Thanks!
Re: How are you ladies organizing your stuff?
I am dealing with a space crunch too, in a 1 bedroom apartment. We got one of these https://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=11609943 for our bedroom. I have his clothes in some of the bins, bibs in another, hats in another, washcloths in one, towels, blankets, etc. It's not a long term solution but until we are in a bigger place with space for another dresser I think it will work well. I like that I can see in an instant where everything is, and if need be we can grab one of the bins and bring it somewhere else (towels to the bathroom, for example). When he's older he can use it to store his toys.
For changing we have this: https://www.amazon.com/JJ-Cole-Collections-Diaper-Stripe/dp/B001DSSK50/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1K8A4HY7P3Q16&coliid=IC4M8HOD50X7D. There's a drawer and two compartments where we keep the shampoo, lotion, diaper creams, nail clippers, aspirator, thermometer, all that sort of stuff.
I also have a couple canvas baskets for the inevitable day when I realize I don't have nearly enough compartments for everything. They look sort of like this: https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/neatfreak-small-storage-bin-black/10137562?trail=&fromPLP=true&ancestorID=&searchString=&moduleName=&startSearch=&fromSearchBox=&addFacet=
We have medicines, thermometers, bottles, pacifiers and formula in the kitchen.
Diapers, wipes, burp cloth station, vaseline, Aquaphor, a few individually wrapped alcohol wipes (for umbilical cord) in our room near the pack n play and another one downstairs in the living room.
Blankets, clothes and toys are in the baby's room. diaper changing station also in baby's room, but that won't get used for a while since he'll sleep in our room for a bit.
Swing and Baby Einstein playmat in the living room, bouncer in the kitchen, bouncer in master bathroom.
No toys near his sleeping areas b/c we want bed and nap time to be as un-stimulating as possible. Bottle, bath (at night only), swaddle, bed.
Bath towels, soaps and bath seat in the bathroom.
ETA: we have stations set up in little plastic toy bins (like shoebox size). We'll reuse those as toy storage when he's older (action figures, Hot Wheels, etc)
I think someone posted this link here before:
https://getsetorganize.com/custom-baby-closet-organizer-system/
It has some good ideas that don't break the bank.
The storage bin rack that Strawberry posted is exactly what I would get if I had a space issue. In fact, we have had those exact bins for 8 years and they have been sooooo useful through two kids already!
Oh! Forgot to say that when I was nursing my second, I also had a nursing/pumping station set up downstairs in the living room with a pump, bin with granola bars, bottled water, Lansinoh cream and pads, burp cloth and baby wipes.
Also had one upstairs next to my bed (but without the pump).

we use this for bath stuff. I love it because it's not super huge but still holds a bunch, and has nice dividers.
everything else you've listed, I store in his dresser. We leave one towel hanging in the bathroom.
