Set up a meeting with a seller today and asked my husband to go since he is off. So he drove 45 minutes to the meeting place the seller picked and they didnt show up. My DH is livid with me and all I can do is say I am sorry. I can not express how inconsiderate that was to not show up and you cant really do anything on craiglist to the seller like on ebay or others.
End of vent.
After thoughts....
I didnt mention to the seller that my DH would be coming till after the time and place were agreed upon and I didnt think anything of it that they didnt respond to that change. What if they didnt come because it wasnt me coming? Maybe my DH saved me from something bad??
I HATE Craigslist.
Re: I HATE Craigslist
That really really sucks. My DH won't let me sell any of DD's old stuff on craigslist because he thinks there's too many sketchy/unreliable people using it. It really does need a rating system like eBay...
I've never had a bad experience with Craigslist. I love using it. I found all of my housing during college on craigslist, found people to play tennis with, and found 3 of my past employers, and I've sold a ton of stuff on craigslist. I love it.
I've also sold stuff on ebay, craigslist is usually for things that are too big for me to want to ship or things so small and cheap that the ebay fee would not be worth it.
I hate craigslist because today I found a posting for the leap frog laugh and learn table and the playskool ball popper for $25 (for both!!). Text the seller and they were already sold! Boo!!
I also hate CL. I have sold many items on there, but it's annoying. I usually have people come to my house, which kind of makes me wary, but DH insists on us both being home when this happens.
I also hate when people email me and say "I'm interested"...and that's it! Then they don't respond again when I email back.
I also hate low-ball offers and no-shows.

Oh I HATE when sellers don't take postings down! I found a cozy coupe for $30 and texted about it and it was sold already. I know they're not THAT much more, but I'm lazy and want an assembled one!
Agreed! Although I don't really like craigslist. MH was selling a motorcycle and he kept getting calls for trades. Some guy wanted to trade him homemade fireworks for the motorcycle- um NO!
