Hi Ladies, I got BFP#4 (I have one child) and my betas drawn yesterday at 14 DPO - progesterone was 20 (doc said good) and hcg 41 which she said was a little low. I know it's more the doubling that matters and online charts say anything from 25-436 is "normal" for 4 weeks but when I asked others on my BMB what their betas were, everyone's was a lot higher than mine. Plus my doc's description of "low" has me worried. I guess I'm just looking to hear from others who have had a low beta starting out that went on to double/be a successful pregnancy? I know that whatever will be, will be, and today I am pregnant... but right now all I can think is that the next 48 hours of not knowing are going to be excruciating and I'm just looking for a little hope....

I had super low betas to start out with. At 9 DPO they were only 8.

I quickly posted earlier on one of your other posts, to look at my siggy, and my betas were higher than yours was thus far. I didn't have time then to type more or elaborate.

So let me. I think your beta sounds pretty decent for 14dpo, and you probably had a later implanter, whereas I'm pretty sure mine implanted early, as I got my first BFP at 10dpo.

When I was pg with DS my first beta was 33 at approximately 14dpo. Every little bean has to start somewhere, so you happened to catch yours on a lower date. Hopefully your # will double and then some (or at a minimum come close to doubling) tomorrow.

Mine were 12 at 10dpo and 101 at 13dpo. It really is all about the doubling!

Thank you, that is encouraging!! I just needed to hear some stories of success to help me not be anxious over the next two days. You (and others on the XP's) helped. Thank you!!! Relaxing will be easier now.

My beta was only 11.4 at approx 14 DPO (not 100% sure since I didn't temp the entire time). But the next one was in the 40's. best of luck to you!!!

My OB didn't do betas, but I have definitely seen beta numbers similar to yours on here. Keeping everything crossed for you hun!

My RE likes to see betas at 50+ at 16dpo... so if you're only 14dpo with betas of 41, I think you're well within the normal range Smile

ETA: Congrats on your pregnancy!

At 14dpo, they should be 70+. So, this lends the question, how do you know you're 14dpo? Were you being monitored and triggered, or is this a guess based on opks and ff? If its the latter, I'd say you could be off on your dates by a day or two. If you are, 40 at 12/13 dpo is a good number.

At 16 DPO, my beta was 58. My RE was concerned. My progesterone was 6.6. So it wasn't looking good at all! But they went on to double on track, and I'm doing well at this point - 20+ weeks along.
