2nd Trimester

Do you get concerned when....

it seems like you haven't felt the baby move all day or when it normally does?

My baby is always VERY active right away in the morning - like from 5am to 7am, but this morning he wasn't - didn't think too much of it but by noon i started to think i haven't felt him move AT ALL. I was getting a little concerned and thinking about it too much when he decided to give me all he had and kicked me pretty hard, i could totally see it.

  • it hasn't happened to me yet, but if it does ik i'll freak out.  I've literally felt this girl move every day since I first felt it at 17 weeks, and I'm 20 weeks now.  so because of that, I'll freak, even if it's before i'm at 28 weeks

  • I was freaking out about this earlier today.  I know that I shouldn't get too worried until after 28 weeks, but when baby girl doesn't follow her usual routine I start to get nervous.

  • I worry to when she's not moving as much as she usually does, even though I know there's no reason.  DBTs are hard to get over.

  • I just started noticing the baby move.  I felt him/her for 3 days straight and now haven't felt a thing for 3 days straight.  Haven't really thought much about it.  I figure that as long as I'm not bleeding and the baby doesn't fall out, we're good.

  • Yeah, I have gotten concerned.  My baby girl doesn't have a "schedule" like some babies do, but she definitely moves around more when I'm not active.  Sometimes I'll be sitting for awhile and won't feel her once...that worries me!  But then, she'll give me a nice little tap or two to let me know she's there.  I look forward to her moving every day!!!
  • I went two days without feeling the baby move, or noticing when he did.  But as I was reading in one of my books (maybe what to expect) it said it was normal, and don't be worried.
  • keep some OJ in the fridge! when you're getting pretty concerned around the time she/he should be moving, have a nice big glass then lay down and relax...should get him/her jumpin! works like a charm for me :)
  • I wouldn't worry until you get into the 3rd trimester... even then with DS I would go days without feeling him and then would feel him all day for a day or two.  Babies need their rest, even in the womb! ;)
