thank you's question

My mom, MIL, and sisters are hosting my shower... but a bunch of other relatives are helping them. I wanted to make special thank you gifts (jewelry?) for everyone who helped, but with the list growing idk what to do. Everyone has such different taste and Im not even to sure of what some of my mil's family likes. Would it be ok to make special gifts for our mothers ad sisters and then write out a very long thank you to each person who helped? Im the closest with the our moms and sisters and would know what to make them and I figure that everyone would appreciate a heartfelt thank you... hope this makes sense, thanks for any help!
