Favorite Broccoli dish

What is your favorite way to incorporate broccoli into your diet? I am looking for different ideas so that I can get LO and hubby to eat it more lol.

I got Spinach, Zucchini and Eggplant covered, now I am working on Broccoli!

  • I got a recipe from allrecipes that I loved - you steam broccoli in microwave, then broil it with a mixture of fresh garlic, parmesan, and bread crumbs on top. So delicious!

  • I toss it in the oven with olive oil, salt & pepper on 350 for like 15 minutes, until it gets browned and crispy, then use it as a side or combine it with a starch in some way.

    My favorite is to boil orzo until it's just al dente, drain almost all the water, then return it to low heat and stir in cut up broccoli and sharp cheddar cheese, then cook it until the broccoli is cooked through and bright green. The extra starch makes it super creamy.  Joaquin picks out the broccoli and eats just that though, because she is out of her goddamned mind.

  • I have a way of taking even the most healthy of foods and turning them into not s healthy...

    My 3 favorite ways to fix broccolli are:

     Nutty Broccolli - Melt about 3 tbsp butter in the microwave, add garlic powder, a bag of thawed, frozen broccoli, mozorella cheese and pecans & microwave until broccolli is heated & cheese is melted (about 5 mintues)

    Lemon Garlic Broccolli - Melt butter in a skillet and add minced garlic then mix in steamed broccolli and lemon juice & stir all together until ready

    Broccolli & Cheese with Bacon - Take a shallow bacon dish & fill with broccolli (either frozen that has been thawed or fresh), add a can of Cheddar Cheese Soup, & cover with bread crumbs.  Bake & about 5 minutes before complete top with crumbled bacon.

    Not healthy because of the calorie content or because of the nutrients (method of cooking involved overcooking which killed the nutrients). I don't mind calories bc I have ways of modifying meals to a less caloric counterpart.

  • I love it roasted in the oven with olive oil and salt and pepper. Simple and delicious!

    I also like it roasted. I also saute it with other veggies and sauce. I've also put it in a roasting pan on the stove and added veggie seasoning. It's so good that way!

    You can also make a "kugel". Combine cut up broccoli, flour, egg, salt and pepper and bake it. If you search for broccoli kugel I'm sure you'll find a real recipe.
