XP: Travel and 4 month shots...advice?

DD is due for her next round of shots on 4/12...the same day we leave for vacation.  Wondering what you all would do?  Should we do them before or after the trip?  The trip includes a short (2 hour) flight and a couple hour drive from the airport on the 12th...

I'm thinking after the trip so that she is at home/daycare in a familiar routine but just looking for any other thoughts...

    I would definitely do them after the trip.  But, in our case, DS was really cranky and irritable after his 2 month shots for about 4 days.  That would ruin your trip if your DD had a bad reaction.

    I'm torn, but would probably do them after. DS sleeps practically the whole day after shots so I would want to take advantage of that while traveling, but on the other hand if LO has a reaction to them, you wouldn't want to be mid flight and need medical attention.

    I'm with you. Just in case, you would want to be home and able to get LO to a doctor if anything happens.

    Where are you going?  If you're going to be out and about and around people I'd probably get them done before so that the baby has the extra immunities.  If you're going to be mostly around family and people you know then I'd go after.  I would probably call the pediatrician and explain the situation and see what they think.  If they want you to go before maybe they can push it up a few days or a week.
