Babies: 6 - 9 Months

teething? rash? what?

LO is 6.5 months old. Yesterday and today I noticed that when I got him up for his second nap of the day (around 4 PM), his cheeks were red and a little rashy. He was not crying, nor had he been crying, they were just rashy. Also, when he nursed he was super fussy at the breast and would pop off and cry but then immediately open his mouth to latch back on. After he was finished nursing, he would not want to be put down (which is highly unusual) and just wanted to be held and chew on his teething star. Today he also took a frozen teething ring. I'm wondering if the rash is something to be worried about or if it's normal. He didn't have it when he got up this morning, but he did have it when he got up from the nap and still had it when we put him to bed just now. It just seems weird for it to only be there part of the day.

Hmm. I've noticed little patches of rash on G here lately. They come and go and are almost never there more than a couple hours.  I'd attributed it to heat since it's a million degrees here.

She's been teething hard core the past couple of weeks, maybe that's what it is.

  • DD has the rash on her chin and isn't sleeping the same as usual.  I definitely think she's close to getting a tooth in.
