IF got me out of a speeding ticket :(

I'm in now way proud of it, but I went to the store this morning and got stopped for speeding in a school zone. It's no excuse, but I don't normally drive down that road during school hours because I'm normally working. When he stopped me I apologized profusely and told him that my head is elsewhere due to IVF. He asked what that was and I told him in vitro fertilization. He asked if we've had problems and when I told him about our 3 ectopics he glanced at my license and gave it right back to me. Told me if I get into an accident, everything we've gone through will be for nothing. He's very right. Am I a bad person for using this to get out of a ticket? Is karma gonna get me?
3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)

DH and I joke about him getting pulled over when he's on his way to drop off his sample! All he'd have to do is whip out that cup and I bet the cop would run the other way!

A lot nicer than the cop I had a few months ago! I was going a few over in a school zone (I wasn't familiar with the area and totally missed the sign) and got pulled over. He looked in my back seat and said "do you have children" and I said "no, not yet", He said "well of course not, you're to young to care about the saftey of children."
I said "my age has nothing to do with it, I am unable to have kids. I'm not from this city and just missed the sign."
What a douche. I reported him too.
OMG--I did the same thing!! It was true though. I was caught going 33 in a 25, and was pulled over. When he asked why I was speeding I told him I didn't know that I was. I explained that my husband and I are dealing with infertility, I had just had a call from my doctor and my head was elsewhere.
He let me leave without even a warning. Sometimes, honestly is the best policy, and I don't think it's bad karma at all!
IUI #1 March: BFN, IUI #2 April: BFN.
IVF #1: Started stims 7/30--CANCELLED.

My DH is a police officer. I would tell you if any woman told him that he would understand after seeing what I have gone through. People tell lies to get out of tickets all the time...you told the truth and luckly had an officer who was caring and compasionate.
