We always went as kids and I would have no problem taking JT if we had to. Hopefully our pool will be up and running though for this summer so I don't have to look like a beached whale in front of anyone else
I've heard a lot of people get creeped out by them, with germs I guess. I dunno. Stuff like that doesnt phase me.
I have heard that too but for me, it's like she didn't get sick at swimming school...so why would she at a public pool where it's more adults (cleaner?).
People told me all last summer that she?s get sick in the swim classes bc of the pool, but she didn?t. I guess it's living in such an urban place where people are disgustingly dirty makes many people paranoid.
We will go to our neighborhood pool some this summer. I don't like all of the chlorine but I am spoiled - I grew up with an inground pool in the backyard - my parents do not chlorinate nearly as much as the public ones. But the neighborhood one is a 3 minute walk & my parents are a 30 minute drive.

I think its time you got a pool!!
Our house came with an above ground one, and H wishes we could take it down to open up the yard. Never gonna happen. I grew up with a pool too, and I love it!!

My in laws got a new house and it did not have a pool. My FIL said that he had to choose between paying for his youngest son's college and a $50000 pool and he chose the pool LOL.
He did end up paying for his son's college, but he was serious!

Our yard is miniscule - no room for a pool. Our backyard has so much of a slope that goes down to a retention pond. DH wnats to build a retaining wall and fill it in with dirt. Don't know when we willl ever accomplish that.

my parents have a pool, and that's really the only one DD's have been in. But I don't see any problem with taking them to a public pool if I needed too
Our 'neighborhood' pool at the park is more expensive than a membership than the Y, so no. But my kid likes to try and drink from puddles, so I think she's fine with regard to germs in water.
