I'm assuming the daycare babies most likely have...
My DD got sick the 3rd day she was in daycare and has been sick since. The first cold lasted about 10 days, she was good for a couple of days and got another one, then she had an ear infection, got done with antibiotics last Wednesday and on Friday she got a tummy virus. Yesterday the new cold started and she barely has a voice.
I know this is what they need to go through to build their immune system, but it's so hard to watch them when they are sick
It also doesn't help when we still have to pay for daycare even though we are home with them.
Well, at least when I have a second baby, all of this won't be quite as shocking
Re: Has your LO been sick yet?
DH got sick about 3 weeks ago. He then passed it to me and DS just as his was finally getting better. Now, for 2 weeks, both LO and I have had a cold consisting of runny nose, slight fever, lethargy (for me), and post nasal drip. The post nasal drip is what is lingering for me and LO. Monday night/Tuesday morning, I spent 4 hours trying to get LO back to sleep. We suctioned nose, used humidifier, gave acetaminophen, fed him, and yet it still took 4 hours. I only got 3 hours of sleep that night. Let's just say that my 12 hour Tuesday was horrific.
It seems that during the day time, things are fine; but nighttime just seems to exacerbate the situation.
Oh, and LO is not in daycare.
I still need to shoot DH in the arm with his tetanus and flu shot. I'll probably wait until 2012 flu season to do the flu shot.
