I tried feeding Beckett a little bit of rice cereal tonight- which did not go well! It was our first time trying it and while I think he is ready I'm not surprised that he cried/ was a mess. Anyway, I posted a picture of the aftermath on Facebook and suddenly have 15 comments telling me to stick with it and different tips to try. UMM... it was his first time trying it!! and I am not an idiot, thank you very much! It was posted for a good laugh not an open invite for your unwanted advice!
Re: Unwanted advice- ugh! (can't delete other post, sorry!)
I feel your pain. It's very annoying. I get it all the time, too!
One of the best things my mother ever told me is that sometimes, she just wanted someone to listen to her--not to give advice, not to tell her they were sorry (she has ovarian cancer, hence the reason for the "sorry"), but just to shut up and listen.
I think when we post on FB or TB or talk to family/friends, they all assume its because we want their advice and in reality all we want is to share something silly or vent or whatever.
But what I really wanted to say is, I love that picture of your LO! so cute!
