The only Masons I know are Kardashian's kid and Cooper's on Private Practice but this name seems to be on the popular charts these days...but I'm wondering how popular is it really?

We like this name - it's the only name we like that we agree on.

DS1 is Jonathan Thaddeus (goes by JT) and this new LO is just nameless I'm having the hardest time!

My 7 year old cousins name is Mason. If your considering it here is an adorable idea. At the shower for favors they gave Mason jars of candy. I thought it was super cute.

I only know two Masons. One is a cousin of mine. He's maybe 5 or 6 now. We don't have much contact with them. They think they are much better than us, so I can't say anything about him. I also had a friend who's little boy is 2 and named Mason. He's a cute little stinker. So yeah, only 2 here!

I adopted a dog named Mason a bunch of years ago, and that really ruined the name for people for me. However, A guy who I've known since my older brother was in Kindergarten has a son named Mason.

I know a guy my age named Mason, a two year old boy named Mason, and a little girl around two years old also named Mason. I work at a preschool. I don't hear of a ton of Masons... not one of the most popular names in my area right now but common enough that it's not an odd name.

Yes, one of my best friends from HS has a 1 year old son named Mason. I know it is popular, but it is a great name so if you like it and the popularity does not bother you, go for it!

I know two born in the last year and one who's in his teens. I also know of one girl named Macyn (ick!).

Honestly, if you're concerned about popularity, this probably isn't the name for you. It's ranked #2 on the SSA list of most popular names for 2011. Personally, I think it's a nice name, but I hear it so often now that I'm sort of sick of it.
