Sorry to bother you with work questions on Thanksgiving but I have a few. This morning when Wesley woke up I went in and his sleeper (sleep sack) was all bloody. I unzipped him and his wrapping had slid down his leg so it was just his wound open with a string coming out of it (we have to pull that out today)...It is still bleeding a good bit. I rewrapped it and I see it is bleeding through again. What can I do to help with the bleeding? Everytime he kicks his leg the wound bleeds..lol...Will putting out the string and putting a bandage over it help with the bleeding?? sorry so many questions..

Re: MassaRN
Don't worry about it, I am actually working 3p-11p tonight anyway. Just try to hold a little pressure on it to get the bleeding to stop. It may get a little better when you taking the packing out because that is in there so that it drains the pus out. It will be able to start closing once that is out. You can also try to put a new dressing on it and when you put the tape on make it a little tight to put some pressure. Obviouslly just make sure it isn't too tight and that his leg gets enough circulation. If you have any other problems just email me because I get that more often. rkmassaro at verizon.net
