We did this on the book club board yesterday and it was fun ![]()
We have Nascar drivers that come in our office all the time. But I'm not impressed, I can't stand Nascar. I wouldn't know who half of them are if someone didn't tell me.
I've met Darren, the drummer from MuteMath. We were waiting in line to get into the venue and he walked up to us, in his pajamas and started talking to us like he had known us forever.
That's about it.

Re: Have you ever met anyone famous?
For the Yankee fans out there:
I met Derek Jeter when he was in town for a bachelor party. We just happened to be out that night.
I also met Daryl Strawberry - I served him when I waitressed at Dennys in college. He was on a rehab stint playing for the local triple AAA team and stayed at the hotel right next to Dennys and came in for dinner. He left a huge tip!
My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. We often live and work in dangerous places among those that misunderstand our intentions and purposes. Sometimes members of our ranks sacrifice our lives to further diplomacy. Please remember that we serve too. And I'm always open to questions.
Nice!!!
I know Kid Rock, that's all I got! ( he went to my HS and lives in my area)
I use to intern at a radio station in college. I met DL Hughley there and than back stage after a comedy show. I met another comedian but I don't remeber his name. I didn't like him though because he said I had a big head lol. I also Ja Rule-if any one remembers him.
I have met some of the soccer players for the Houston soccer team. I think that may be it.
I worked at Texa Roadhouse and Willie Nelson came in our restaurant for a promotional thing. I helped serve him. Not gonna lie, all he did was stare at girl's boobs.
I met Shaquille O'Neal in an airport. His posse were jerks but he was nice.
I worked at Michaels in Orlando, and no joke, Joey Fatone came in and shopped in the craft/scrapbooking section. It was really him, and his amazing car parked outside proved it. I'm hoping he was buying something for a daughter???
Future meeting: I am going to a wedding in August where the bride is cousins with 'E' from Entourage (my favorite!). I am still brainstorming what to nonchalantly say to him.
DeAngelo Williams, RB of the Carolina Panthers picked me out of a crowd (ESPN the weekend at Disney) to make fun of me because I was wearing a Steelers Jersey and they had just lost the Super bowl!
Lastly, I met Mark Hamil (sp?) aka Luke Skywalker. My dad almost bumped into him and his daughter on the boardwalk at Disney.
That's it!

I've worked with Nancy Grace twice.
I've done head shots and family photos for Chandler Riggs ( Carl in The Walking Dead).
My niece ( age 22) just met Clint Eastwood a few weeks ago . He is filming a movie in N. GA and she works at the hospital they were filming at. She was chosen to be an extra in a scene. before filming he came up behind her and taped her on the shoulder and asked, " are you new in town?" They also had lunch together- the crew, actors and extras.
I've met Barenaked Ladies, Lisa Lampanelli, New Kids on the Block, Kathleen Turner
ETA: oh, and Lindy Ruff - bonus points to anyone who knows who this is without google ;-)
I met Taylor Swift - she is incredibly sweet. Meeting her actually made me a fan because I respect that she understands that her fans help make her successful.
With my old job I met several players from the Chicago Bears on a regular basis - not sure if that counts!
That's really cool! So, how much money did you win?
I've met quite a few hockey players, and came name names if anyone cares.
Also met Drew Carey(he's the new Price is Right host). He owns the local soccer team and was very nice.
OMG, i love hearing these!!!!! JaRule!!! lol, i totally loved him and DH is so embarrassed for me. on my first date with DH, he left me and he talked with Slug from atmosphere (who was also on a date)... i married him anyway.
i served Kirby Puckett when i worked in a bagel shop once, he called me the "bagel babe" and my grandma (who LOVED him growing up, we even named our dog after him.) told me if he came close to touching me (after his big lawsuit here in MN), stick him with my knife!!!! hahaha!
I also babysat for Cory Koskie. baseball players and local hiphop, works for me.
I met 3 Days Grace before they became big. They did a local show near me and my friends and I got to meet them before their show.
I met Toby Keith at a Meet and Greet before one of his concerts.
I've also been to The Arnold Classic in Columbus so I've met a handful of MMA fighters.
Only $2700
I had two huge trips and a ton of money racked up but I couldn't solve "Perfect Three Point Landing."
... I'll never forget that damn phrase.
Mark Harman (sp?) ( the guy from NCIS and the movie Summer School) helped me down the steps of a makeup trailer once when it was raining. I thought that was very nice of him.
I went to a Christmas party at Kevin Smith's (aka Silent Bob, director of Mallrats, Dogma, Clerks, etc) house that he threw for his employees of his comic book store once. I met Jay there too, but can't remember his real name. Jason something.
I met one of the members of the band Stroke 9 (anybody remember them?) after a concert.
But my personal fav..NERD ALERT!...I met Krycek (sp? Russian bad guy from the X Files) at an X Files convention in high school. I went with two of my girlfriends, and he was doing a Q&A. I asked a real question, and then asked if my friends and I could come onstage and get a hug. We got a kiss on the cheek too! We were such dorks, but it was really a lot of fun!
And DH and I have hung out with the original drummer from CAKE at local venues several times, but that may be getting a little too obscure. Ha ha.
Let's see..
I waited on Kenny Rogers while waiting tables in college.
Met Reba at a meet and greet.
Sigfried and Roy
For any Young and Restless fans remember Ryan?? I met him and his wife and kids and gave them a tour where I was working at the time( sooo cute!
)
Comedian Jo Koy
Jennifer Bini- Taylor ( Chelsea from Two and a half Men)
I met 4 of the Boys2Men
Ron Lester- he played BillyBob on Varsity Blues
And my favorite.. Jimmy Buffet!!!
My bestie worked for a PR company so I'd volunteer when they would have an event nearby so I've met a bunch of people, but I can't recall them all- Chuck Lidell, Daryl Strawberry, Penny Hardaway, Marcus Allen, Brian Baumgartner (from The Office), Grant Fuhr, AJ Hawk, Michael Jordan, Kate Hudson, Brett Hull, Kevin Nealon, Lance Armstrong, Dan Quayle,Maury Povich, Ronde Barber, Alfonso Ribiero (Carlton on Fresh Prince of Bel Air)... uh... etc etc... does that count lol

Mine are so random:
Weird Al (husband loves him, so I went to a show. We were eating dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and he came in to pick up his own to go order!)
Colin Hay (from Men at Work)
Rachel Ray's husband...who is not really famous himself, but famous-adjacent. That guy was a total tool! His band played the opening set for DH's band at an area bar. They opened a tab and then stiffed the bar! Luckily we knew the owner and he was cool to us. They were going to try and make us pay it at first.

Colin Hay is on my list, too. We saw him in concert last summer, and we got to meet him after.
Winton Marsalis did a concert at my college when I was there. I got to meet him at a music department reception after.
I used to work in a Borders book store, and Carson Cressley (Queer Eye) did a signing. I made him a latte
This only sort of counts, but I was once in an airport security line right in front of Kate of Jon and Kate Plus 8, along with her 8 kids. I didn't say anything, because they were actually filming. I've never seen the episode, but there's a chance I'm in a background shot.
I met Winton Marsalis too
I think I was in 10th grade, my aunt picked me up from my own music concert at my HS and took me to his concert. My aunt was a big deal at the concert hall he was playing at - we had front row center seats and I got to meet him afterwards
Also met Doc Severinson the same way (I'm a trumpet player, what can I say lol).
My favorite night pre-DH : Met Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall from Creed/Alter Bridge and Robbie Merrill from Godsmack. (Mark is my favorite celebrity of all time... I literally almost cried when I hugged him). I stood in line for the concert with Seth Morrison, who is now the guitarist for Skillet. He's still my friend on myspace and facebook
I met the 3 guys from Alter Bridge as mentioned in the above paragraph at a concert, but their singer Myles Kennedy was sick so he didn't do the meet and greet. However the following year I went to another concert and stood by the gate when he walked by - he grabbed my hand and winked at me *swoon*
