Anyone else having a planned csection? if so when are you due? Im not worried about the actual c section (this will be my 3rd), im just curious when all of you are DUE and when your doc normally will schedule you CSection in comparison to your due date (like some docs schedule them a week before, some do the week of...just curious what the rest of you are up to lol)
Re: N e 1 else with planned csection?
I will have a repeat c-section.
My OB does it some time after 39 weeks.
I am due January 2nd, but I expect that I will have a December baby.

This Momma's Journey
~Today I am pregnant and I love my baby~
My due date is Dec 30. My doc wants to schedule me for Dec 28 "because of the holiday schedule." However, I am not in the least comfortable taking the baby before 40 weeks, so we might be finding a new doctor.
I scheduled DD for exactly 40 weeks (different doc). I was having light (beginning) contractions when I showed up at the hospital that morning.
I should add that I was a natural birth mom whose baby was too big to fit through my pelvis, which is why I scheduled the C-section. I dislike them in general, but mine was one of those cases that was actually necessary.
If this baby ends up being smaller, I will try for a VBAC. For now, though, we are assuming a C-section is probable.
Yes -- many studies that have come out in the past few years have suggested that even one week early can have significant effects on the child's intellect and emotional health. This is why I am gung-ho about the 40-week mark. I did not know they're suggesting 39w3d. Would you mind pointing me in the direction of that study?
My concern is that we're going to get closer and I'll be told, "Oh, sorry, OR is booked on the 28th...how about the 26th?" NO WAY. I'm going to ask if we can book at my 12-week appt.
All of these women are having repeat c sections. The only other option is a VBAC which not everyone can do, and it also carries risks with it. They're not just choosing elective c sections.
