It has been 3 weeks since ive done the elimination diet. My baby still has slimy watery stools. I am so confused at this point. Its so difficult because i thought i would see a change by now. Does anyone have any advice for me?
Also how often do your little ones go to the bathroom? mine is almost 2 months and only poops 1-2 times a day.
Re: I have cut out dairy, gluten, eggs for 3 weeks now and no change
try cutting out soy.
at 2 months old my LO pooped after every feeding. It stopped around 3 months old. and now he does one HUGE one and then one or two small ones (he's 5 months now).
My DS2 also had slimy poop, but totally normal. Not mucusy, just slightly stringy. have you spoken to the pedi? next visit to the pedi i would feed him right before and show her the dirty diaper.
Personally, i would have cut out milk and soy only first. I would probably treat it as MSPI first before going on allergy route.
I agree with PP, try cutting out soy. My LO reacts very strongly to soy.
My LO is 8 weeks old and he has about 3-4 big sized poops a day and a few little "sharts".
I cut out gluten and dairy and he still had green mucusy stools until I cut out soy, then they went back to normal yellow.
Good luck.
This exactly
Good luck!
