Update on ds and dd, surgery related

We had a follow up ultrasound on ds this morning and his ureter isn't swollen down by his bladde anymore and is less swollen elsewhere but still is a bit swollen so has more healing to do. Hopefully it will only continue to get better. The doc said he could get scar tissue where his ureter was sewn back together but well just have to wait and see. He has all of his tubes out now and can resume daycare. He has another follow up ultrasound in 2 months. 

 

Dd saw a plastic surgeon today for her pinky that would stay straight and he said she has a nodule that is not letting the tendon work right and she needs surgery. She's having that on June 12th, 3 days before her 5th bday. He said its a simple outpatient case and stitches will dissolve and she'll just have gauze or a band aide on after surgery.

 

I'm ready to be done with it all and will probably be paying for the bills for quite some time. :(

    glad to hear your Little guy is on the way to being better. Sorry your DD has to have surgery, sucks! I am right there with you on paying medical bills, we just finished paying for our LO's surgery from December. Hope everyone recovers quickly and you can have a great summer!

    so happy to hear your son is on the mend!  that's great news.  i hope your daughter's surgery goes smoothly and that things return to normalcy for you soon.

    I'm so sorry this all came at you at once! But maybe that's a good thing? So glad to hear DS is doing better, that's got to be a relief! I will keep your DD in my prayers!

    Yikes you guys have been through a lot!  I'm glad your DS is healing well and I hope there's not too much scar tissue.  I'm sure everything will be fine with your DD - thats crazy that she needs surgery on her finger now! 

    I know these couple of months are rough and I hope you get through them and can move on with two happy and healthy kids :)

    I'm sorry you and your kids have to go through all this. I'm glad your DS is on his way to healing. I hope your DD's surgery goes well. It sucks to have to see these little ones go through this stuff, but they are much more resilient than we are.
