Anyone's LO completely off BM/Formula and onto WCM/other?

I stopped bf'ing at 8 mos and Jyles has been on formula since then. Up until a week ago he was taking 2-6oz bottles and 1-8oz bottle in a day. Suddenly he just stopped taking as much and one night completely spit out the nipple and wouldn't take formula in a sippy either. We hadn't done the transition to WCM yet, so quickly started. He hated it at first, and I continued offering the formula, but he refused that too. He take about 8-12oz of WCM in a day, I know they say to shoot for 16oz, but there is no way he'll take that much. I have a call in to my PHN and doctor, but neither have gotten back to me. His 1 yr appointment is next week, but he just seems too young to not have formula. Is anyone else's LO completely off BM/formula?

    Yep. He's been on WCM for about a week now. He gets ~ 24oz of WCM. I didn't know how much to shoot for, so we've been offering what we were offering of FM. We'll have his 1yr appt a week from Fri, so we'll ask then.

    I'm glad he's not the only one! I've read 16-24oz WCM/day so I'm sure your LO is on par! Now I just wish I could get mine to drink a bit more!

    Good luck! We were fortunate that Alex took right too it from the Sippy. So we transitioned from FM in a bottle to WCM in a sippy within one day. O_o

    I know it doesn't always happen like that...so I'm thanking my lucky stars!

    We have slowly been switching her off of formula.  At DC they offer her a sippy with WCM at lunch (she to get her used to it) and at home we're mixing formula and WCM and slowly changing the ratio.  Like your LO she has been refusing the bottle/formula more and more.  At her one year last week the dr. said that we should aim for 14-16 oz of WCM a day (mainly at meals) and then offer water in between and for snacks. 
    BFP #1: 9/26/10 DD: 5/2011
    BFP #2: 7/23/14 - MC: 8/28/14
    BFP #3: 2/22/15 - MC: 3/3/15
    BFP #4: 5/20/15 - Stick baby stick!!!

    We are not complete there, but close. 

    We have been dealing with thrush since new years, and I've had mastitis twice in the past month, so I'm getting to the end of my breast feeding.

    He nurses in the morning when he wakes up, then drinks about 16-24 oz of WCM throughout the remainder of the day. He also eats three square meals a day and two snacks.

    He's a big eater.

    A will be 1 year on June 14 and his 1 yr visit is the last week of June(can't remember the date off the top of my head)   At his last visit, the pedi said that anytime in June, we could start switching him to whole milk.   He said when we see we're down to the last container of formula(he knows we use powder) we can start switching him over.

    My LO as well is on WCM.  I started with almond milk and gradually weaned to WCM.  She is doing really well with it!

    DD is 100% on WCM. At her 1 year appt yesterday our pedi said all she needs is 12 oz of milk a day and she should get her remaining calories and nutrients from table food. 12 oz seemed like such a little amount but I guess we'll work our way down to it. She currently gets about 16 oz a day now.

    Since he was 10 months he has been on Hemp and Almond Milk, no BM or formula. He has done great!

    thanks ladies. this makes me feel much better. i know its ok to start the transition before a year, it just all happened so fast!
