Snacks/Meals on the go

So I'm sure a lot of you are traveling this upcoming weekend. I was curious what kind of snacks/meals are you planning on bring for your LOs?

When I went out of town a few weeks ago DS ate a lot of Puffs and Mums. I make his baby food and if we are eatig something that is relatively safe he gets that to eat. We tried store bought baby food a few weeks ago and he wasn't really impressed.

I don't know what all we'll be eating when we're out visiting friends and family so I don't want him to just fill up on puffs and such incase he can't eat what we're having...

Any suggestions?

Good question, Guru! I have been thinking about this for our upcoming trips to MT and AZ.

I'd bring some fresh fruit, string cheese, crackers, maybe some of those pouches. I'll keep thinking...

  • I make LO's baby food too (although she doesn't eat much anymore since she prefers whatever we're eating).  But, the Plum Organics pouches are soooo good and so easy for travel (the kids can suck them like a straw or you can feed to them).  I always eat LO's leftovers.  The plum berry barley flavor is especially good.

Oh! Do you have time to make any of those "toddler muffins"? Those might be a good idea (or you could just buy some, I guess). Also, raisins, fixings for peanut butter and jelly, (pre) toasted bread, rice cakes, beans.

He does well with crackers and such, I just want something more filling. String cheese is a good idea, I was thinking apple slices and such as well. I will have to bring a little lunch cooler for the road. :-)

There are a few (all have a bit of sugar, if you don't mind that). This one is popular on Pinterest:
