Did you go into labor spontaneously? If yes, at what gestational age did you do so? TIA! I was induced with my first at 41w3d and had a c-section at 41w6d. I really don't want to be induced this time.
I was induced with my first at 41 weeks and I went into spontaneous labor at 39w2d with my VBAC. I never would have believed things could be so different the second time around, but they were!

I went into labor on my own at 39w6d. I had been having contractions off and on for 7 weeks. 3 days before she was born I was having contractions that were timeable and painful, but slowed down when we got there. They sent us home that day. I am glad they did. With DD1, I was induced at 39w2d due to high blood pressure so I wasn't sure when or if I would go into labor with DD2.
Spontaneous labor with #1 at 39.5 and was shocked when my waters broke at 37.5 with my VBAC baby. The second baby was still a half a pound larger than my first and was mal positioned. Your first birth does not have to dictate your next.
I went into spontaneous labor at 39 weeks, 6 days. My very prompt VBAC baby was born on her due date. My first was induced at 38 weeks due to IUGR/low fluid.
I did not go into labor on my own for my VBAC. The hospital did not allow VBACs to go beyond 41 weeks, so I was induced that day. I was having contractions that I didn't feel, but the pitocin did it for me and I was able to deliver without a problem.
Thanks for all of the responses, everyone! I am loving seeing all of these "I went into labor spontaneously at 39w Xd . . . . " I'm hoping for the same.
Yes! I started doing acupuncture and doing all of the natural induction methods, and I truly believed it helped my body go into labor on its own. I was 39 wks 6 days. I highly recommend trying membrane sweeping, primrose oil capsules, etc.
I went into labor around 41w3d-42 weeks. I was fuzzy about my conception date (and didn't have a LMP to go off of), so it was pretty stressful at the end. I went into labor with my first at 41w.
Yes. I had my membranes swept at 41w0d, and consistent contractions started early the following morning at 41w1d, and DS was born the following day at 41w2d. I did need a whiff of Pitocin when I hit 4-5cm, but I was complete and pushing 2 hours later. Pushed for 13 minutes.
Hopefully you won't need an induction this time around! GL and HTH!

My first my water broke at 37 weeks but I never started contractions on my own. With my 2nd we sort of induced. My membranes were swept due to pre e but no other interventions.
Yes, my labor was spontaneous with DD, I went to the doctor and was 5cm and she sent me to the hospital. She came out 2 hours later. My doctor would have let me go to 42 weeks if I hadn't have gone in on my own.
My water broke spontaneously at 39weeks 4 days with #1 but he was breech.... c-sect. #2 I went into labor spontaneously at 39 weeks 6 days and he was born on his EDD, 12 hours later. My water broke spontaneously in transition, totally successful, unmedicated vbac.
Re: Question if you had a successful VBAC
Yes, I had a successful vbac at 40w 3d. My ob was ok with me going to 42 weeks, if I needed.

I went into labor at 39 weeks 2 days and delivered at 39 weeks 3 days. My OB said we would start discussing induction at 41 weeks.
ETA: I went into labor spontaneously with LO #1 as well at 39 weeks 4 days and had my c-section at 39 weeks 5 days.
"From your lips... to LO's ears." I'm good with anytime after Memorial Day.
