Ack.. don't let your DH procrastinate on getting the TDAP!

We just went in to Rite Aid so DH could get his tdap vaccine and apparently it doesn't work at full strength until a month after it's given.. oops...

    Oh wow. Did not know that! DH still hasn't gotten his. I forgot to ask the doctor where to get it. You'd think a doctor or the hospital would have mentioned that! Does the one that us moms will be getting work the same way - not fully effective until the baby is a month old? Seems a little weird.

    It'll be fine. What they're saying is that there is a chance of catching it. What they aren't saying, is that it's greatly reduced every day that goes by.

    If you go to official websites they say 2 weeks. My dad was also told it would take 1 month, but my mom wasn't told anything. Even at full strength it's not full protection so you still want to be smart, and as a PP said every day that passes the protection gets better! :-D
