Child Care Lucky Break!

My mother suggested I look at the daycare across the atreet from her office. She used it when my niece was staying with them while my sister and BIL pcs'd from CA back to TX. She said they're awesome and Bela really loved them. She was a little concerned with the prices, and said it had gotten kind of expensive. I clicked the link and... 145$/week for INFANT care!!! I'm walking on sunshine! For DD's summer care when she was 5-10, it was 150$! That was ten years ago! That's an amazing rate! I was looking at 190-210. Hours are 6:30-6:30, and they closed major US holidays only. Being across the street from my mom's office, she can zip over and pick him up until my father or I can get there. I'm putting a deposition down tomorrow. And, of by some chance I deliver tonight, my mom will do it for me. So amazingly stoked!!!

    That's a great deal! We are paying $170/wk, and I thought we had it good.

    damn, we need to move.  in-home daycares in our area are charging $350-500 a week for infant care 8am-5:30pm.

    That is great!! Places around here start at 250 a week for in home...centers are around 360 average a week and that's kindercare. We caught a break having DHs sis move in our basement to be our nanny!

    Finding good child care & feeling comfortable with everything (cost, other kids, times, etc.) has seriously been one of the most stressful things as a parent. I am so glad to hear you found somewhere you love & with a great rate-awesome feeling!
