Rec's for cups with straw in lieu of sippy

Has anyone found any baby cups that have the straw instead of the sippy that they liked? Just for convenience I would like to get DD to drink from a straw so if we are out, and I forget the sippy, I can get a normal drink and she will be able to have some. I bought the Tommy Tippee ones and she seemed to be having quite a tough time getting the water our so I tried it. Holy Shi*!! I could barely suck any out of that stupid cup! I actually started laughing because I thought if she got used to this, then tried just a normal straw, the water would be everywhere!

Anyone have any rec's that don't require Dyson strength suction???

We tried a few and the ones that work best for DS are the Playtex Lil Gripper straw cups.  No matter what we do we can't get him to take a regular sippy, but these straw cups work great for him.

We have these too but now DD only wants to drink out of MY cup...but she can use these pretty easily.

  • We just use the take n' toss straw cups.  There is no valve, so it's easy to get the liquid out.

DD did really well with the take & toss for a while. I recently tried the Nuby straw cup and she does well with that, too. We have a couple TT ones, but I think I'll wait a while to try them since she has to bite and suck with those. A regular straw seemed easiest, which is why we went with the take & toss.

This.  Plus there aren't so many parts to wash!

  • We use these. They don't leak and DS hasn't been able to pour any out like he has with other cups. You have to suck a little harder than a regular straw but its not difficult. https://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31VuPThMCXL._SL500_AA280_.jpg

This, we like them.  LO can take the straw out, but now he's mastered putting it back, so no worries. :)  Plus, they are cheap, so if you leave one full of milk in the car on accident, you can "toss" it.

These are the ones we use too.  They're awesome.  We actually started with these (although she won't drink milk out of them) at 7 months or so.  She learned to drink from them pretty quickly.

Now we've moved onto the Playtex insulated cups and she drinks those well too.

I tried these but DD just wants to take the straw out and dump out the liquid or try to put the straw back in.  I wish there was some sort of bump or something that kept the straw from being pulled out so easily.

This one is awesome, and now I just received a "Lollacup" in the mail yesterday.  It was on the show Shark Tank, if you watch it, and I loved it.  It has a weighted straw so that if LO tips the cup up, the straw stays in the liquid, which was the only problem I had with the playtex cup.

  • we've used most(if not all) of the ones mentioned. all have worked but we love the thermos brand "water bottle" they are kinda expensive($13) but they keep drinks cold for longer. they are not as leak proof.
