OK - I am going to ask a follow up question at the risk of sounding stupid:
My middle is definitely filling out, however it is still pretty...
squishy (for lack of a better word.) Does it not count as baby belly
until it is firm? I really do not know if I am getting a baby belly or
just getting chub.
Mine's squishy when I'm sitting and I think that's annoying it just seems like a bunch of fat, but when I'm standing it's pretty hard. I think it depends alot on your size pre-baby.

i think that even though your uterus is not up as high as the "chub" you're writing about, it countrs as baby belly. most of the weight we gain is water, extra blood, placenta, etc. so i think whatever thickness you have now that is new is connected to baby belly. it's cushioning for the little guy.
