Infertility

Nothing ever goes according to plan.. :(

I woke up to AF this morning.. For the past 11 months it's came on CD31, so I booked my follicle count U/S for the 30th thinking this would be the perfect timing. Now, I don't know what the heck I'm going to do. I need to have this done before our next RE appointment, and the hospital is booking way in advance which makes it really difficult to figure this out in the first place.

UGH, IF I hate you... It's always something! :(

Re: Nothing ever goes according to plan.. :(

  • I'm sorry you are having a rough morning - AF is a b!tch to wake up to!  Have you tried called the radiology department directly at your hospital and asking them to squeeze you in between appts?  Our hospital does this for follicle U/S because they know they are specifically timed and don't usually take an entire appt slot.  Hope this helps!

  • Thanks for the support! I'm going to call as soon as they are open at 7:30am.. The last time the receptionist gave me a really hard time about needing specific days, so I hope I talk to someone different today.

  • I don't know how your hospital is set up by try not to go through central scheduling - just call the desk and talk to the people who check you in.  Usually when I explain it is for fertility they grow a heart - like the Grinch at Christmas.  Sorry they are being PIAs about it!

  • Thanks Ladies for all the encouragement! After many phone calls and me ending up in tears on the phone I was able to rebook it for this Thursday! Which will work out just fine! :) starting to feel a bit better.

On a side note to give everyone a little laugh, I had bad cramps so I tried to heat up my magic bag and it caught on fire in the microwave! I'm cursed!
