So, she went from sitting up, crawling, and now pulling up into a standing position all in a matter of weeks!
It is time to lower the crib, but how do I get her to stop chewing on it? She has used her two bottom teeth to scrape the paint/stain/color off of the crib. I know rail covers are supposed to help with the top, but what about the slats?
Are there rail covers that have some padding? This is probably a paranoid mom thing but I'm worried that she'll pull herself up, then fall and hit her face on the top of the crib. Is that a silly worry?

I got these:

They sell them in the long versions for the sides (the above) and short for the ends, which I also got. I put them on before she ever got a tooth and there isn't a single mark on the crib. Her crib was $$$ and while I'm not sure if/when we'll have another, I wanted to keep it in good shape.

I think they sell gummy like ones that are easier on their little teeth...I say them at Bru though I have no experience with them, Kam never chewed the crib and G isn't there yet...Shoot he isn't even laying in there yet
But uhm HOLY COW, that is a huge week!!! I can't believe you are pulling up!!
Did your bedding come with a bumper pad? You can use the bumper to cover the crib rails too. If you look around on Pinterest you should be able to find a pic.
I've never seen a baby chew on the slats. A breathable bumper may help though.
Thanks for the suggestions, ladies!
We currently use a breathable bumper, which she just pulls down. We'll probably remove them when we lower the crib since I am paranoid she will use those to step and climb on.
Thanks for the links to the rail covers. We will look into those and if it doesn't offer enough protection, put extra padding underneath them or something.
