Waiting waiting waiting...

So I'm due next week and I've been obviously sitting around anxiously for something to start happening. For all the girls who have had their babies, did you have any signs that labor was around the corner? (besides mucus plug and bloody show) I haven't had an internal since 36 weeks so I have no clue how I'm making out and it's driving me crazy !! :)

    Same here! I'm due in 7 days :) I'm anxious but at the same time want LO to stay in another week. And I'm pretty sure it'll be more like another 2 weeks & I'll have to be induced. The only slight sign I've had is her dropping, which was this morning - even though the doc says she's still up high. And as my mom told me today, even though I want her to be here, to enjoy the time I have before she is here. So today was my 'relax & do nothing day' lol! And tomorrow I'm gonna get my butt in gear & get the nursery done & car seat put in (which it helps when you've made an appointment for the car seat check!). It just really sucks because now that she's dropped it REALLY hurts to pick stuff up off the floor!!

    I'm waiting, waiting, waiting, too. I'm due Friday. With DD I had no indication that labor was imminent. I had a nervous break down the evening before I went into labor, but that's it. I woke the next morning with contractions and a bloody show.

    I've got everything done except for my laundry and I've been done work for a little over two weeks so I'm starting to get restless. And the constant "how are you feeling" is making me even more crazy! My sister told me I look like I dropped on Saturday and then my mom made a comment about it today but I still feel like she's too high. I just want to meet my little girl already :)

    Same here. I've been walking a bunch. Went out shopping today and walked around for 3 hours, had contractions on/off while doing that, but nothing once I stopped. I have lost at least part of my plug, but that's it. It drives me crazy when people ask how much longer?  Or say, "let me know if anything changes." My SIL/MIL are coming next week, and DH & I were hoping to have a week alone with LO before they arrived. Doesn't look like that will happen.

    Plus if this keeps up, I think they may induce me, which is not what I want. But LO is stubborn and staying in there.

    With DS1, I had NO sign of labor at all until my water broke.  None.  I'd been dilated to 2 cms for a few weeks but that was it.  I had BH every now and then but only one time that was consistent for any length of time (more than 48 hours before he was born).  I was still 2 cm when I checked into the hospital.  And only 3 12 hours after my water broke. 

    This time, I've had consistent contrax on again/off again for two weeks.  I wasn't planning on being checked at all but last week at my 38 week appt, my DH wanted me to be checked and my MW said that with the long drive I've got, SHE would feel better knowing what was going on down there.  So I got checked.  2 cm.  If she wants to check me again today, I will ask her not to tell me unless it's significant (like... 4).

    I only had one internal at 35 weeks, baby came at 38 weeks. I never really had the signs of labour like I did with DD1 though. But I did have painful every 6 minute contractions for 3-4 hours on and off for 3 days before finally having her. So I kinda knew it was coming :)
