For those who use a sleep sack...

I assume your babies can't stand in the sack?  I've always just put LO in footie pajamas to go to bed at night, but now that it's getting warmer, I'm wondering what to do.  The past couple nights, the house has been 75 (and at most dropped to 72) at night.  I was thinking to do a onesie, but it seems like it could be too little, and I run into issues with the sleep sack because my LO loves to stand and cruise.  In fact, it's what keeps her entertained in the morning in her crib for about an hour!

Re: For those who use a sleep sack...

  • I have putting Ash to sleep in a onesie lately on hot nights lately and it he seems to be just fine. He is actually sleeping better on hot nights since he started sleeping in them.

  • M has been in a sleep sack for a long time.  She has never had a problem standing and cruising in it.  Our house is pretty chilly at night, so she will probably still wear it through the summer.

  • DD stands and walks around her crib in her sleep sack.  She wears foot PJs but will prob soon transition to a long sleeved onsie or maybe short sleeved depending on how cool it is with the a/c on.

  • I still put LO in a sleep sack for naps and sometimes at bedtime if she's not wearing her warmer PJs because we keep the temperature pretty cool inside. I just ordered some larger sized sleep sacks on Amazon because I plan to continue using them. She stands and cruises around in her crib wearing one with no problem. They also make a toddler sleep sack by Halo that has holes for feet.

  • L used to use them, but hasn't now since the house is warmer. She tends to be hot anyway, so she has been sleeping in two piece pajamas (they are short sleeves and shorts). She seems pretty comfortable in them.

  • Zoe can stand, crawl, and cruise in her sack.

She sleeps in a long sleeve onesie since it is warmer. I figure I usually have a sheet over my arms, so it is the same idea.

  • C still wears a sleep sack and she can stand and cruise in it.

LO has no problem standing and walking in her sleep sack, she's tripped a few times, but we usually take her out of it when we get her up in the morning.  I'm planning to use ours through the summer as DH usually leaves the air conditioning on all summer so it gets quite chilly at night.  I have an 18 month cotton sleep sack that should fit her until fall.
