Hello everyone!!
I forgot to mention in my intro post that this is my first month off of BCP. I have been taking them for about 10 years now. I know everyone is obviously different, but I figured I would still ask....are there many people who ovulate their first month off of BC? I have read so many posts about people who stop taking BC and are pregnant 2 weeks (or some insanely short amount of time) later, and I was just wondering how common that actually is.
I in no way, shape, or form have even the smallest hope that that will happen that quickly, but I was just curious!
Re: Ovulation after stopping BCP
I've been off the pill since January and I've ovulated every cycle since. I was previously on the pill off and on for about 10 years before that.
I've been trying for four months, we've hit every day in the FW every month and I'm still not KU. Since I'm still new, I have to chalk it up to the 20% chance that you have every month even in the best of conditions.
GL to you!

This is cycle 2 off BCP for me after being on them for about 12 years. I didn't get KU the first cycle, but then again I didn't chart or temp and we had kind of erratic sex, nothing expertly timed.
I *think* I ovulated, or at least my body geared up to, because I had EWCM for a few days and a little cramping along with it. I definitely had all the post-O symptoms like sore boobs and cramping too that others sometimes talk about. Of course I convinced myself sore boobs right after O meant I was KU....I think everyone thinks that on the first cycle though!
GL to you - I think it's definitely possible to get pregnant sooner rather than later, I hope you do!
I know everyone recommends charting/temping - I didn't realize why until I started doing it this month. It's addictive! I feel so much more in control, and your 2WW will go by much better if you actually know when you O'd I think. I'd try that if you're not already!
