Many people on this board like Dr. Luke's book and swear by most of her nutrition plan. I have not read that one, but really like The Multiple Pregnancy Sourcebook by Nancy Bowers, RN, BSN. She herself is mother to twins and I found the info very helpful and reassuring. It has info for both spontaneous twins (my situation) and for those who used fertility treatments. It goes from pregnancy to the first few weeks at home with twins. Good Luck and Congrats!
I absolutly love the Dr. Luke book- i like the way it reads, the info it has, etc. It's the only book i've seen that truly addresses the needs of a multiple pregnancy. Don't bother with any typical pregnancy book- unless you just want to use it to see how babies are developing (which you can find online on a ton of sites).
My OB is right on track with the dr. luke book- he hasn't read it but everything he said to me at my first appg (re: weight gain, seeing a peri, etc) is what Dr. Luke says... which is reassuring to me b/c it's almost like having a 2nd opinion from 2 trusted docs.
I also got "Twin Set" which is more about info when the kids are here - from moms of multiples - i haven't read it yet - plan to a little later in my pg.
I also like Dr. Luke's book. If you want a couple different perspectives (and more info about labor and delivery options, breastfeeding twins, and infant care with twins), I'd also recommend Mothering Multiples: Breastfeeding and Caring for Twins and More by Karen Kerkhoff Gromada and Having Twins and More by Elizabeth Noble with Leo Sorger, M.D.
Re: Recommend a good multiples pregnancy book please!
