Too much Private Practice

While recently looking through names I found myself liking names like:

Violet

Addison

Amelia

Jake

Lucas

Then I realized they are all names from Private Practice. Why do TV shows have to use such good names and ruin them for me! lol Not that if I used one, many would make that connection, but I thought it was kind of funny.

That's funny! When I started watching Private Practice, I really started to like Addison and Violet too. We know a little girl named Addison and it's pretty popular so we decided against that and DH wasn't feeling Violet so I got vetoed there. It's interesting how a show can sometimes spark an interest in a name you wouldn't have thought about before.

I have to say that I have a Show that slips into my name choices as well, it really bad, Dawson's Creek. Dawson, Joey, Jen, Pacey, Jack, Audrey, Evelyn, Bessie, Andi. And while I wouldn't use most of them My DS#1 Is Jackson and My DD is Josephine, and if my husband would let me I would use Pacey too. I wouldn't use any of the other names though.

Those are all good names. I love Pete too! It's my grandpa's name. If I ever have a boy, I would love to name him Pete!!!

Lucas and Violet were on mine too! But it was also Grey's Anatomy that got me - Izzy, Derek, Avery... Makes me wonder which came first, shows choose popular names or shows make names popular.
