Multiples

RLP worse with multiples?

I am dying over here. I'm getting strong round ligament pains about twice a day. They're very clearly that and nothing else, so I'm not worried at all, but I think I was closer to 16 weeks or so with my other pregnancies when I started dealing with this. Common?

  • I guess that's a relief? I got up from the couch and my belly went nuts, and just as it finally settled down, I sneezed. And there is nothing worse than trying to hold in a sneeze when you know it could be really satisfying. :-/

  • This is my first pregnancy, so I can't compare. But I had them around week 9-now, and my dr said its normal and common. I sneezed myself awake last night and was convinced my ligaments were going to snap out of my skin. Pregnancy does some weird stuff to you ...

With  my DS my RLP was like lightening, painful/hot/quick. This time the RLP comes on slower and lasts longer.

Sneezing is a ***. I swear my uterus is going to break free and float around in there if I don't quit sneezing.

  • I would say, YES!  I have really been bothered by RLP this time after not really experiencing them that much during previous pregnancies.  I just asked my OB about RLP Friday, and he said that it is more common due to the rapidly expanding belly.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one! It feels like they come on fast and take forever to go away with this pregnancy. I am just not ready for all the pain. These surprise pregnancies sure don't give you much of a break inbetween!

  • It was sooner and worse for me too with these twins. I don't remember ever being in so much pain in my other pregnancies!

  • Yes!  Lots!  I think I started feeling them around 9/10 weeks and they were pretty severe through most of the pregnancy.  No fun :(
