1.Are you currently seeking employment? Why or why not?
Yes, even though I am self employed, my work is limited hours right now so I need to supplement my income. I was searching early in pregnancy and stopped a few weeks prior to due date. Starting to look again this week.
2.How do you perceive your job opportunities compared to those of the opposite sex?
I believe that job opportunities are scarce for both genders. I know multiple males and females that have been unemployed for a long time now.
3.How do you perceive job opportunities of younger persons compared to older persons?
Younger have more opportunities because employers can get away with paying lower salaries to those with less experience.
4.Describe the current job market for women compared to men?
I think it's poor all around, though some industries (manual labor) appears to have more opportunities which tends to be male dominated.
5.Are you satisfied with your current job status? Yes____ No__x__

Employment Status: Employed__x___ Unemployed_____
Age: 18-30__x_ 30-50____ 51+____
1.Are you currently seeking employment? Why or why not?
No. I have a full time job/business with my family (husband, parents, and we have employees).
2.How do you perceive your job opportunities compared to those of the opposite sex?
I don't feel there is a double standard when it comes to gender, entirely. There are a few fields which tend to be very male dominated in my area (i.e. upper level finance) and would probably be harder for a woman to join into vs. other fields that aren't "boys clubs". This seems to be the same problem for men joining predominantly female career fields though, like as nursing or administrative office staff.
3.How do you perceive job opportunities of younger persons compared to older persons?
I'm right outside of a big city, and there is no discrimination here against anyone because of age, younger or older. In my experience and from what I've witnessed, the most qualified person gets the job. They are on a level playing field, assuming they are all equally skilled.
4.Describe the current job market for women compared to men?
There is no difference - jobs and skilled/willing workers are scarce for and amongst both genders.
5.Are you satisfied with your current job status? Yes__x__ No____
6.Do you believe that women have the same job opportunities as men? Yes_x__ No___
7.Is unemployment more difficult for men or for women? Men__x__ Women____ (I think people are more accepting of a woman being on unemployment, generally)
8.Do you feel that younger women have more, less or the same job opportunities as older women? More____ Less____ Same_x__ (again, assuming both are equally willing and qualified!)
9.Do you feel employers place a greater emphasis on expertise, experience, or education?
Expertise__x___ Experience_____ Education____
10.On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being low, 10 being high) rate the job market for women and for men
Women__4________ Men___4________ Its not ideal or easy for any applicant, but, people also need to be more willing to become more useful to their field and take what they can get.

1.Are you currently seeking employment? Why or why not?
No. I am already employed.
2.How do you perceive your job opportunities compared to those of the opposite sex?
I actually feel I have an advantage over men in my specific job. My job is sort of boring and reuires a lot of patience and reading of repetitive info. Most men can't handle it.
3.How do you perceive job opportunities of younger persons compared to older persons?
It depends on the field. For example if it requires a lot of knowledge/use of technology, then I think younger people tend to have an advantage.
4.Describe the current job market for women compared to men?
I think men still have the upper hand in the job market, but the playing field is leveling...slowly but surely.

1.Are you currently seeking employment? Why or why not?
No, I am already employed and do not want to change careers or positions.
2.How do you perceive your job opportunities compared to those of the opposite sex?
Fairly equal, but sometimes I feel like I need to explain and reassure my personal life choices and that it wont affect my work.
3.How do you perceive job opportunities of younger persons compared to older persons?
Younger people are percieved as less reliable or stable for various reasons: less work experience, more family oriented and/or not likely to stay in the position. However older people may have issues with explaining that they are going to stay in the position or explain their career change.
4.Describe the current job market for women compared to men?
I'm not sure. I think both women and men have a difficult time, however, women may have more difficulty because positions that require a lot of labor or strength may discriminate against hiring a woman over a man.
