question re:pelvic pain

Hi Ladies -

Anyone experience pelvic pain early in their pregnancy?  It's very low, around the pubic bone, and I'm concerned with what I've been reading about ectopics.  Any insight would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Re: question re:pelvic pain

  • Ectopic pregnancy is cramping horribly were your ovaries are to the point were you would rather run into a knife then live one more minute!

  • Yeah, when I had an ectopic it took until I was about 8 weeks along (per the ultrasound tech) to really have that excruciating pain as described in the pp.  But then again, at the point I had massive internal bleeding and they had to remove my fallopian tube because it ruptured.  If you're worried about an ectopic I would just call your doctor's office asap or just go to the ER.  I do believe that slight cramping early on like you are is normal though.
  • Cramping, even in early pregnancy, is extremely normal.  Unless the cramps are causing you to double over in pain and make it so you can barely move, you're probably fine.  Also, if cramping is accompanied by bleeding of any sort you want to contact your doc.  Otherwise you're fine.
