So who else has a crazy uncle?

I have one, who lives in CO (so thankfully doesn't visit much), who has declared himself "a prophet".  He believes all of the mainstream churches operate off flawed versions of the Bible, and that all of us,who do not believe like he does, are condemned to hell. 

Wouldn't you LOVE to come have dinner with him?

    not completely unrelated, I'm currently watching this show on the national geographic channel about cults-

    there are a lot of crazy people out there.

    I seriously would not be surprised if he started his own cult.  He's such a freaking fundy.  His main beef with Sarah Palin was that she should be home, being her husband's "helpmate" and making HIM successful.

    I have an uncle who is a total redneck and pretty much thinks that anything Jeff Foxworthy says is gold. He loves duct tape, and is a total outdoors man, fishing, hunting etc. He swears ALL THE TIME, drops the F bomb like its nobody's business...and is a total homophobe.

    But let me tell you, I THINK HE'S AWESOME.

    Which one do you want hear about tonight?  I have one that swears he smelled bigfoot... not saw, not heard, but smelled.  Another is totally into conspiracy theories and thinks he doesn't have to pay taxes.  I'll stop there in case I have cousins on here.

    Maybe you should cut him some slack. He obviously knows a lot more about the spiritual world than we do. Obviously, I mean, God didn't talk to YOU or ME...your uncle obviously has a mission. You shouldn't get in his way! haha

    I have a crazy uncle who drinks way too much then pinches your cheeks really f-ing hard and it hurts.  He does all sorts of stupid stuff and usually pisses someone off at every family party.

    Ooh! Ooh! We have one of those, too.  He's one of the bat-shi* crazy street preachers who verbally abuses people as they walk by and goes to "God Hates Fags" type rallies. Holidays are, um, entertaining when he's around. It's fun to bait him and get him all wound up about The Liberal Agenda. Bwhahahahaha.

    Just one?  :o)  I have a paranoid schizophrenic uncle who lives in So. California in his 1 bedroom house he has painted all of the windows black.  Does that count as crazy????

     Another uncle in Illinois has gone to prison a few times for drugs.

    My DH has a crazy uncle who believes the holocaust never happened.  He believes it was war propaganda and his father was a WWII vet.
