Can we define this please?
BLW (baby lead weaning) is where you put finger foods out for LO and they feed themselves. There are no purees or cereal involved (except if they feed themselves). (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby-led_weaning)
If you do purees, cereal etc. and you also start giving baby finger foods, that is NOT BLW, that is starting finger foods.
Therefore you can't do a "combination" of BLW and another feeding method, but you can give LO finger foods with other solids.

Re: BLW definition
I try to bite my tongue, but this is also one of my pet peeves
ETA: you can do purees and cereals, but LO would be the one feeding themself the cereal or puree. Some people like to use purees as a spread on toast with BLW. And you can certainly give LO a spoon to self feed

I love having to read this all the time. It's such a big deal when people call things the wrong thing. It's really nice of you to point that out for us.
thanks for that. ::eye roll:: I'll combo whatever the hell i want, we're doing BLW at dinner AND purees for breakfast.
Kthank*s*bye
It's petty, but unless the purees are self fed, you aren't doing BLW because overall it isn't baby led. You can do whatever the hell you want, but it's a mix of purees and finger food, not a mix of purees and BLW. Nothing wrong with that. There are lots of ways to do solids
