Pregnant after a Loss

Will I ever get used to...

Maternity pants? They always feel like they're falling down on me...
We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Re: Will I ever get used to...

  • Yep... give it some time.. once your hips start to change, they stay up much better!! When I first started wearing maternity, I'd wear the belly band over top -- that helped a lot, too!  Now, the belly and the hips hold it all up =)

  • I have absolutely no respect for the designers of these so called maternity pants. I work in an office so I wear mostly dress pants and they suck. It looks like my husband must be Edward Scissorhands from me trying to cut out the elastic that cuts off my circulation! I did get all of the elastic out on one pair and now they won't stay up! Grrrrrr. And jeans well let me tell you idiots not all pregnant women look good in skinny jeans! The one pair I did find that had a little flair have skinny thighs and they pull down as I walk! Isn't the gas, heartburn, fatique, weight gain, etc. enough do we really need to be tortured by clothes too! Ok that turned into my rant. Back to your question, if you find a pair that fit well, buy them in every color! GL!

  • I never liked the ones with the big band that could go up over your belly, to me those were always falling down so I never wore them. I prefered the ones with the smaller below the belly band, which was just like a pair of elastic jeans. If I was worried about being covered I'd just pair them with a belly band.
  • I have 3 maternity jeans. I only wear 1 cause it fits right. The other 2 fall down when I bend over. I thought maybe when I get bigger, they'd fit better. Nope. I guess it's just like regular jeans, some suck some are great.
