I?ve been lurking on this board for a couple of months and I?m currently planning to have an unmediated birth.. As a FTM, I want to do whatever I can to prepare for labor and make things progress as possible.
I was looking into raspberry leaf tea, but noticed it?s high in vitamin A. Is this dangerous to take late in pregnancy or have you health care providers okayed it?
Re: raspberry leaf tea?
More Green For Less Green
I've been looking into RRL tea, too! I've read a lot of women swear by it for labor and reduced afterpains, when taken properly.
Isn't the type of vitamin A in RRL tea would be a carotenoid and not a retinyl? The type of vitamin A that is risky is the type that is in meat. Obviously your dr/midwife would probably be the best person to confirm that, but beta carotene doesn't convert to vitamin a unless your body needs it to.
