Had my baby shower

My baby shower was yesterday. (I know kind of early. My bff who threw it is getting married this summer and we already had her shower/ bachelorette weekend scheduled and this weekend just made the most sense.) I had a great time and got some awesome things. My best friend is a nurse in L/D and she got me a really nice breast pump. My mother and father in law got us our pack and play. We got some really nice outfits and stuff for baby proofing. The biggest surprise was the lack of diapers. No one got us diapers. Haha, we're thinking of using cloth anyway, I was just really surprised. We got a million recieving blankets/sleep sacks/swaddlers, so if you have any on your registry I would just remove them, people will get you them no need to ask. The biggest diasppointment came from my husband's Aunt, who didn't bother showing up to the shower, but sent a gift along. She gave us two old homemade blankets that I guess her husbands Aunt made for one of her kids (30 years ago) They are filthy and stained and just disgusting. I don't know if they really think they are being nice or what. Its not like my Husband is even related to the woman who made them. They are kind of infamous for giving terrible gifts, but this just takes the cake. I hope I don't sound like one of those ungrateful people I see posting here about shower gifts, but come on, could you have at least tried to clean these before gifting them to someone? Besides that it went really well. It was held outside at a local park and it was the perfect day to do it. So sunny and warm. I had a lot of fun.
