2nd Trimester

What is this feeling?

As you can see from my ticker, I'm too early to be feeling baby move.

However, for the past week or so, I've been feeling "flutters" in my uterus.  I really don't think it's gas (it's never followed by gas, and really does feel like it's in the uterus).

Could it just be my uterus stretching, or getting moved?  I used to get cramps a lot, but those feelings are gone.

Sorry if it's a stupid question.  Everything makes me panic :S

Re: What is this feeling?

  • Most women don't feel movement that early, but some do.  It could be movement.  I started feeling flutters around 15 weeks and actual kicks this week.

  • Loading the player...
  • I feel the baby already...the flutters here and there thats the baby!

  • It may not be too early. I felt a couple of flutters toward the end of my 14th week.
  • I felt my first flutters around 16 wks... could be baby.

  • Okay.  I'll just tell myself that's what it is :P

I've been getting more and more nervous about baby being okay (why? I don't know) ever since I hit the 12-week mark (I know, opposite of most people) and I just can't wait to feel him/her.

I also can't wait to know the sex so I can stop refering to baby as "it"!

  • I have a lot of stretching going on right now.
  • Actually - it could be baby moving. I first felt my flutters at 16 weeks. Enjoy them while they're that "light"...they only get more intense where they end up waking you up at night and taking your breath away! Congrats on feeling baby move!

  • Last week I felt tiny little flutters while I was at the grocery store. It was like, "Oooooh! That's what everyone meant by 'flutters.'" = )

I can't wait until DH can feel it.
