Is there a home study course available for Hypnobirth? I know there is one for Hypnobabies, but I'd like to explore both options further & can't take an in person class. I can't find anything on Hypnobirth home study.
TIA!

Someone else correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is. There was a woman in my Hypnobirthing class that bought the book & Rainbow Relaxation CD and studied them on her own with her first child. She was able to birth without meds, but she took the class I was in for her 2nd child. I have to say, the class was sooooooo valuable, I really needed that time with the instructor. I had originally thought there were no available classes in my area either, but our hospital ended up offering one. Couples choosing to birth at other hospitals or birth centers were also in our class, so try checking all of the hospitals in your area (my class did not come up in a google search).

I've checked & the closest class is 45 mins away. I have an acquaintance who teaches Hypnobabies, but I cannot attend a class no matter how close anyway - I don't have childcare for DS besides his 3 days in a.m. Montessori, & DH works mostly evenings.
Looks like Hypnobabies may be it!

I have he hypnobirthing book with accompanying cd and hypnobabies at home study course. There is no difference in philosophy, just more in depth relaxation cds and tons of affirmations. I love it so far!
i have taught HypnoBirthing (HB) for almost two years. there is a slight difference in HB and hypnobabies philosophy. but i think it is negligible to the courses.
there is no homestudy for HB and the book is but a fraction of the program. the cornerstone CD you can buy online at www.hypnobirthing.com. it's called Rainbow Relaxation.
i do not suggest moms try to learn HB on their own. you really do miss so much of the program not taking the class.
if you cannot take a class, definitely consider hypnobabies instead.

I know many moms who have simply bought the Hypnobirthing book and CD and studied it on their own. It has worked wonders.
Good luck!
