BM just checked in to 5 bars in 2 hours

Jeeeeez. Not that this is isolated, most of her posts are alcohol related. She and her boyfriend are trying to get a house together. BM currently lives with her mom. I wonder if she has figured out that she wont have a built in babysitter anymore and she cant visit 5 bars in 2 hours? ::print::

SS's BM is back to her bar-hopping ways. She got her kids back and her mom watches them on the weekends so "she can have a life". I don't think her mom remembers that BM's "life" is what got her kids removed in the first place.

This is seriously the story oft damn life. BM and I aren't even friends on FB, I get screenshots weekly from random mutual friends and them basically saying 'wtf is wrong w BM???'.

I know this isn't an isolated incident, but to someone who doesn't know it looks like is just having a fun Friday night. Also, to play devils advocate, drinking and/or bar hopping isn't illegal.

No, it's not illegal. In fact, I miss my wine, wheat beer, and margaritas It's the stuff it leads to for some that is illegal... Like assault with a deadly weapon or taking your baby to a dealer's house to buy cocaine.

Side note: Baby girl is kicking me as I type that I miss wine, beer, and margaritas. I find that odd.

EDIT: I left out an apostrophe and it was bugging me.

No I know its not illegal. Its just all her posts are about alcohol. She is friends with all DHs family on FB and at the last reunion everyone asked us if she was ok and was concerned about her drinking. SDs went through a period where they would cry in DH ordered a beer at dinner cause they didnt want him to get drunk. DH was visiting kid on a business trip and was also going to meet up with a HS friend, BM rattled off 10 bars he could go to in the friends town 15 miles away and told him what their specials were that night of the week. From memory. Nothing ever happens to where the kids are in danger, I just print just in case she takes a wrong turn with it so we have backup.

Erm. That would annoy me too. I plan to be/remain a very young fun mom but I'm pretty over weekly bar hopping. Very glad BM's profile is private!

Curly, I hope you don't think I was being snarky towards you. I know more than I wish that these little things all add up and can be everything when *** really hits the fan. I save all the little stuff like that as well. Also, That is really sad the girls get upset like that. I grew up w a functioning alcoholic mother, and into my teens it got really hard to deal with it, and was so embarrassing when I ha anyone over bc my mom was always drunk. I hope she can get her act together for her kids, bc as an adult now I almost had to sever my ties w her once I had kids. I didn't want my children to see it. She is now sober but it will never repair the years in my memory of embarasment and shame I still hold.

Oh no, i didnt think you were being snarky. I was just letting you know that I get its not illegal and on its own it wont get us the kids or anything. Its side eye behavior at best, i just save it just in case but I had to share with you guys. It ended up being 7 total when I got up this morning SMH. ETA im sorry about your mom, Im glad she is sober now. My parents were alcoholics too but not until late teens/early twenties so I wasnt forced to deal with it. My dad is currently in ICU again for his cirrhosis and we're waiting to see if he can get on the transplant list for a new liver.
