What are the points for?

in 2nd Trimester

Does anyone know the meaning of the point system? It doesn't seem to be related to the actual number of posts a person makes on here since some people with a similar amount have more/less. Perhaps how many people read/responded?

Also when do you move up from newbie to bronze or bronze to silver etc. Just curious how it all works.

    The points mean nothing.  I think they might have used to be used for something but not anymore.  Bronze is 501 posts.  Silver is 2,001 posts.  Gold is either 5,001 or 6,001.  I can't remember.
