Hi, my name is Sarah. My husband, William, and I are officially beginning our adoption adventure. I think we have settled on a domestic agency adoption.
We've been trying to start our family the old-fashioned way for about a year now. It just isn't working, and while it would have been nice to have been pregnant and have that experience, having a biological child isn't that important to us. Because of that and a few other personal reasons, we just don't even want to try IVF. Adoption is a tradition in DH's family and I have always been open to the idea.
We scheduled our orientation for June 5 and I can't wait. Although we know that there will most certainly be heartbreak on this path, it is nice to think that we are taking another step forward to starting a family that we have been dreaming and preparing for.
Anyway, I've been reading your posts for awhile and I really appreciate your insight. Thanks for all the great info and I look forward to reading more about your journeys.
